I am intrigued by the item: preparedness/personal admin. I think this should be first on the list - just a shame I won't be on time to find out what it's all about...

I'm not sure whether that's a joke or not...

Doesn't that contravene the Geneva Convention?

...Having said all this I haven't been to all that many airsoft events but in two of them you have been directly involved in costume changes - Horn and Fuhrer!

:giggle: To be honest Fuhrer was more for comedy effect - which is an equally fine reason.

I'd have a difficult time arguing that Horn wasn't comedic.

not according to the look on General Guy's face (according to mrcaptainchomleywarner who was brave enough to go check)

crikey, it's this weekend - that one crept up. I still have some sewing to do.

I think I'll break out the Red Army kit for this. My scout suit hasn't seen daylight since Schaulen.

It's going to be a bit chilly this weekend apparently. Warm clothes might be a good idea!

Wooly Brit stuff for Saturday then into my Russian kit for the evening/Sunday for me. Sounds like Telgroika weather, and a thermal base layer :)

Sadly my new collar tabs haven't arrived yet.

I have packed a notebook as instructed.

Cheers

bugger, I do hate the cold - under-layers all being prepared.

If anyone has new, untested kit, this is an ideal way to test in a stress free environment. I always say that it's no good finding out your webbing is shit in the middle of a weekend game, far better to give kit a trial run at a training event, where changes can be made between modules.

The same goes for weapons, we'll have a range set up, where you can plink away to your hearts content for a bit to test whatever you want, or just show what a brilliant marksman you are!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Testing new kit and weapons was exactly what I was planning on doing.

yup. Well, new kit - same old reliable gun though. :D Actually, now I think of it, more 'new pockets'... I am testing if having things in different pockets make a difference. :giggle:

Now to add extra danger to the weekend, the 'bush living' forum types say that they put wood-burning stoves in their Polish Army 2 man Plash-tents - I had previously dismissed this out of hand, thinking them too small... but now? And at -1? Who knows.

If you do that, be very careful of fumes. i.e make sure the door is closed and put the chimney out the top. You know all that though..
