There are a few outlets for DAK kit, but Hikishop is probably the cheapest. DAK tunic just 45 USD!

Presumably full DAK kit isn't required for the Germans and wool/HBT uniforms are OK? It isn't entirely obvious in the kit guide.
Cheers

Martin, sorry for the lack of clarity.
it would be perfectly acceptable to buy just the tunic and wear wool Feldgrau trousers, and low boots – with or without gaiters.
which means we would like at the very least, a DAK tunic. As mentioned, Hiki do them for only 45 USD.

If I don't go German I'll happily loan out some DAK kit.

Better get scrubbing the webbing and dusting off the KD, also practising my chiseled grimace
Just thought I'd point out SOF has some DAK stuff in their "End of season" sale.

Even those ludicrous tall boots are slightly reduced if you feel the urge (and the short ones, for that matter). Some other guff too, look fer yeself!
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.
Those boots were not made for fighting but kinky sex I might get some
The high boots were cut down by troops for practicality. And so, the low boot was born.

Hi
Just wanted to be clear as there are 4/5 of us that normally play German, are you saying no Heer tunics it has to be DAK. This would prevent most of us playing as the some of the guys don’t want to buy a DAK tunic just for one game.
In the uniform requirements is says “Tropical Heer DAK uniform would be great†does that mean not essential.

Would love to do this one, AGS games are always fantastic and I know it looks great when everyone has the same kit but I cant justify buying a DAK tunic for a one off game, so to be clear is it a requirement to have DAK kit or is ordinary feldgrau acceptable?
Hi, yes the only piece of DAK kit we are specifically requesting is a DAK tunic please. Currently, they are just 28 quid from Hiki, which is great value for money. Whilst we understand that some people might decide they don't want to do that (although you've got a 5-month lead time), bear in mind we are trying to portray the Afrika Korps - we have deliberately gone for 43 which means that people can use every other piece of their existing Heer kit. As mentioned, the tropical kit was also worn in Italy, so it is not just for this event only.

Fair enough Andy, It always looks great with everyone in the same kit and at least its clear whats required. With postage its more like £43 per tunic (and that's hoping you dont get stung for VAT and import charges). I'm sure it'll be a great game, shame I'm going through a period of poverty
Andy, echoing Steinlarger’s comments, ASG games are always great but the guys can’t justify the expense.

I'll be getting a DAK tunic (and maybe a few other bits) for this - but is there a 'look alike' tunic out there that would work for those on a budget?? Like the Swedish tunics that can be picked up for a song and are nearly identical to German tunics?
Well I have a DAK tunic and will be looking at getting a few more bits to go with it. But I understand Both the desire of AGS to have units looking right and the fact that not everybody can afford to invest in new kit for a game.
Now obviously I don't know the scenario details yet but I cant help thinking of the 10th Panzers rushed to the area following Torch who would have been in wools. Is it possible to have one squad of 21st Panzer (DAK tunics) and one of the 10th Panzer (Wools)? That way it will still look like Tunisia.

Would a reed green HBT tunic worn open collar with canvas webbing be suffice ? as I'm sure the olive green would have varied even without sun bleaching.

Hi, good question. I have seen some quite dark DAK tunics, so I would say yes!

Thanks Andy, another question, I also have a "tan" tunic (darker than Luftwaffe sand I'd say) which is cut in a DAK tunic style (5 button open collar), would this be acceptable as a faded DAK tunic ?

It sounds like it would do as either DAK or Luftwaffe - whichever you think it is most like.
