Hi my name is Martin and as above from Hull, been into airsoft just over a year now. But really fancy getting into the WW2 side of it, fed up of the constant spray and prey over standard airsoft games. Really like the look of WW2 uniforms and weaponry.

Have recently bought a ACM real wood Thompson and a TM 1911A1, not got any other kit yet but really fancy a US set up.

Anyhow just wondered if there are any other WW2 softers in the Hull area and whwther many events are run up North?

Would be good to hear from anyone close by.

Hi Martin, welcome to the forum. Not sure about games in the Hull area, but i'm sure the Northern contingent (i.e. anything to the North of Watford ;) ) will chip in soon...

Welcome. There are a few of us in York and quite a few in the North east. Most of the action is in Derbyshire, F&O in Matlock is the nearest place we go.

Thanks all so far. Just a quick question till i get my Yank gear, i have some reproduction Austrian Fleckmuster BDU's would this do as a stand in for German Camo?

I could get a ACM Mp40 then and be sort of ready to go.

If Yorkshire has more Krauts than Yanks, would i be better starting collecting German stuff then?

Just seen as i am starting from scratch it is easy to go either way, and i want a ACM MP40 anyway.

Nah... you'd be better of doing Brit... There's far too many Krauts and Yanks anyway! :)

I'm only over the water in Scunthorpe. I often go the airsoft commando games at Ferybridge in WW2 kit. Sometimes in a mix of ww2 and modern.
First and Only is a good site, only been once myself but there was a mix of kit. Full WW2, modern bdu and ww2 weapons, all sorts.

Must be enough of us in/around yorkshire for a lil open day squad now ?

Ooops! Didn't see the 'introductions' thread!

Im in Yorkshire too (leeds) - been Airsofting for just over 2 years now and funnily enough Airsoft Commando is my 'local' now too - I recognised your username straight away Martin (see you on the 20th  )

I've got to admit .....I think I'm going to have to go German for WW2 airsofting too.....

This is a great forum - It's a pleasure to peruse.

Ben

I wonder if we could talk Andy into running a WW2 themed game at Ferrybridge?

Small wood but intense Mabuggi

Yup - your right Martin. It's very similar to F&O in a lot of ways, plus it has trenches and emplacements already and I do believe that its small (comparative to alot of other sites) size is a big, big plus.

:( Lol - Now I know why your keeping your Tommy gun :)

8)

They are a very friendly bunch and I prefer the games with less players than the 150+ games......much more intense and you all get more participation out of the games.

Would be a pleasure to say hello and most probably get shot to buggery by you.

I've seen more and more WW2 kit at open days over the last few months - that and with my missus buying me "A bridge too far" on dvd last week just tipped me over the edge!

Lol just watched Cross of Iron and now trying to find the cheapest place to buy XXL German field gray uniform. Damn Christmas.

Our site is pretty small and intense, now we have the sand bags to fill it should that extra added cover needed for assaulting the make shift village.

We need to sort the trench out as well.

Everyone is welcome but we try and keep it below 40 in total otherwise it gets to crowded.

Its a team site and not run as a business like most of the bigger venues.
