Ok I've got sod all Russky kit Except a post war gimnastorka. pilotka and a Korean bling officer tunic. Now can anyone remind me about front of Russia- good or bad? Also I've no weapon that could be used.

That's where I intend ordering my NKVD loadout from. Have a look through and we'll put our orders in together and maybe save on the postage. From what I've seen they cater for our size and Stof was happy with the cap he got from them.

With regard to soviet power most of their stuff is post war, the so called complete ww2 uniform is definately wrong, rather obviously as they even decribe it as a M69 uniform, bit of a give away, still it depends how accurate you want to be? if you just want a cheap 'looks-like' then they're fine.
Cheap "looks like" are even cheaper at Sabre Sales
The officer uniforms they have aren't too bad. They are at least M43 uniforms, even if they're post war. The badges and insignia are wrong though so it isn't that cheap for just a tunic and trousers. I can't recommend Schuster highly enough, great products and service.
Yes Sabre did have a number of M69 uniforms very cheap a while back.
Don't forget you can always borrow stuff, I do have almost enough spare Soviet kit to out two extra people. 
Don't count too much on Sabre, they're in the process of offloading kit to move premises and last time I enquired they had sold most of their soviet gear.

I seem to have pre-empted this part of the thread by one day as I've just had the initial response back from Sergey at Schuster to my emailed enquiry.
As Yith has mentioned in another thread the best way of looking at the site is to look at The Russian site and get Google translate to do just that. The English version doesn't have any descriptions while the Google translate version translates the Russian descriptions enough to work out what you are looking at. Not that it's my bag but they seem to have some nice German stuff too.
Anyway I've been emailed a size chart and will be putting an order together over the weekend/early next week if anyone's interested in combining and aiming towards discount levels and cheaper shipping!

Yes, but the fascists prevailed in the end due to infighting between yhe anarcho syndicalists, the anarchists, the syndicalists, the communists, the marxists, the leninists, marxist leninists, the trotskyites, the democrats, the socialists, the social democrats and the West Ridings company of the International Brigade (me). It wasn't a pretty sight. Got out while the getting was good.

Yes it certainly is CW!
The site looks quite a bit different now to the Google Earth image which was obviously taken a few years ago. Most notable is that there is no huge lake as they were continually pumping whilst the quarry was still working. Aparently when/if they do finally redevelop the site it will take at least 7 months to pump all the water out!
