It's not as untidy as my rooms... You don't have webbing slung all over the floor and various items needing washing (etc)

I've come to a decision - I'm gonna wear this (but with one pouch and a pistol)

I think i'm going to be going for the greatcoat option. Something truly iconic about jackboots, coal scuttle lid and greatcoat :)

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Of course you don't HAVE to do it - but Guards on Fortress Duty as well as Guards outside public buildings and Military Installations WHEN ARMED carried a single ammunition pouch (usually a Mauser pouch of course) and a sidearm - a pistol - as well as their issued longarm. According to The Reibert (German Army Manual) under certain circumstances guards relied on their bayonet as a sidearm and were not armed witha firearm - Yes - even Army personnel. IF I use the Stg then I will only wear one as hi cap mags are more than sufficient for our purposes - I will also keep it on semi unless of course hte red horde have my back to the wall!!!!! MP40 - hmmmm - might have to use both.......

Specially for this game I'm looking at putting some IR equipment into a Vampyr type body - Now if I get it done THAT Will be neat!!!! Orfentik (Looking) NIght Vision Gear for pinging Ivans!!!!!

Malarkey - Another Irish Surname that entered the English Language Along with O'Houlihan :happyswing:

Yes, the incumbent guards will be severely restricted ammunition-wise. Lets hope the stores can provided sufficient to repel a concerted attack - if only you can get to them!

Ya see!!!! I like your thinkng CW (warped and skewed as it is) - Just cos MP44s have hi caps they don't need to be FULL!!!!! I'm thinking a long arm on semi will be far more effective than one that fires bursts of precious ammo full time....... (and besides - Toblerones fit nicely in MP40 pouches)

I sent out patrols at Eagles with just 10 rounds each and at Ariel the main British group started the event with just 100 rounds each. Doesn't half concentrate the mind...

meh... I didn't use much more than 100 rounds in the whole day's play at ariel... such is the way with bolt actions. :)
