I'm up to about a 7, that will go up as the day get nearer and I have to dig out my soviet kit and sort out what I'm wearing/taking.
Is it cold in these tunnels? The plan is for M43 uniform and a Plash, will I need my long johns underneath?

Constant temperature inside the tunnels is about 7 celcius. I think you'll boil in long johns.

I concur. FWIW, now I'm getting older, I'm getting colder. However, I skirmished at Worthing the other week, when it was subzero all day. I wore a service shirt, woolly jumper and wool Feldgrau uniform, with gloves, toque and helmet. I did not get cold all day, even though a fair amount of time was spent lying prone on frozen ground, waiting for an attack.

7 Celcius - luxury!

I went to the same Worthing day as Andy. Once we got moving I was sweating in t-shirt, thin Spearhead tunic and repro greatcoat.

Exite-o-meter has just dropped a bit after reading CWs post about it not being a fashion show :(

There was something else about orders and discipline but I wasn't really paying attention :giggle:

Right, let's all calm down. If it goes on at this rate, we'll be peaking 10 days too early! We all need to drink some of Chomley's special tea.

I'm back down to a six. On the outside.

Well I'd be packing tonight... but Brendan wants me to watch Two Towers with him, or alternately watch me play Star Wars Battlefront 2.... or I'm thinking he actually wants to do both somehow... lol.

Excitement is around an 8 for me. :)

Brendan wants me to watch Two Towers with him,

how old is Brendan?

I ended up in the Sheisse for letting my 4 year old daughter watch that movie. Bloodthirsty little miss was fascinated by the Orcs - aka "ugly men with mucky faces"

Oddly enough, I share C-W's approach! I'm about 2/10 at the moment, although I know it'll build up over the coming days. This is my first event as part of the CiA organising team and I now realise just how much work goes into making it happen (3 site visits, endless discussions, amendments to plans, etc.). I suppose it's because I've already "played" it out in my head several hundred times that I'm not over excited at the moment. When I start packing kit (and there'll be a lot of it!), charging batteries, etc, I know the day is close and that's when I start to get more enthused.

I'm now back up to 6 after being so cruelly dashed by the SiPo there....... I'd be higher but the stress of sackfuls of renewals and new joins (claps hands reallly) has caused a burst blood vessel in my right eye and thus knocked 1.5 off the 7.5 I was feeling on Wednesday.......

Mind - Poacher and evio (will SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE HIM TO EVIL WIGGINS??? HE SOUNDS LIKE A CRAP JAP SPORTSCAR!) are nipping over this weekend to assist with the mountain of catchup that is AFRA at this moment... I may then raise my enthusiasm level to an 8 and maintain it there up to the event......

LOOK! I ham now four meggle man!

I'm, so excited I've just done a little wee wee :happyclap: (8/10)

But yeah, theres no point in bringing tones of stuff, all we are going to be doing is shooting at eachother in the dark and having fun, there no need for spare kit, just bring a clean wooly vessy and knickers to change into

I concur - no reason to bring a ton of stuff. I've whittled my gear down to three crates.
