i like the sound of this and i've just downgraded my no4 to 350fps so i reckon a polish para hat is in my future or a para helmet.just as a fall-back or for German would a Mauser m712 broom-handle with stock be acceptable?
You can happily use your No4 for either side.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Sounds like another outing for my Luftwaffe Field Division/Garand combo...
I like the boltie only idea.
and Tanaka K98`s DONT have to use green or ultra gas, they can run on HFC 134a (Controversial i know )
Mine ran at 300 fps`ish with a .20 bb at the boryzin loop game, about 8 degrees C ambient temp.
Ill have to cheack avaible leave passes with the wife, but the date seems good for me so far

Hi
I would be interested in attending my problem is that as my kit is designed around a sublatern of the polish 1st airborne brigade i only have pistols or smgs as this would have been there standard issue , at a stretch and it is your discretion I can field a carbine ie a mauser C96 with stock and short mags and this is not unusal as the polish airborne where trained to use captured weapons.
Armoury: Derringer, Colt SAA, Colt 1908, Colt 1911A1, Tokarev TT33, Nagant M1895, Mauser HSc, Beretta M1934, Walther PPK, Luger PO8, Walther P-38, Mauser M712, Artillery Luger carbine, Browning HP GP35, Webley Mk IV, Winchester M1894, MP40, Sten MKII, Patchett/Sterling, M1928 Thompson, PPSH 41, STGw 44, Kar98K, Lee Enfield NoI MkIII SMLE, No4 Mk I, Mosin Nagant M44, Ithica 37M&P, ZB vz 26/30 LMG, MG42
hmm, I will have to make a final and definitive decision on these Mausers with stocks - a decision made easier by how silly they look - so no they are not being allowed, I am afraid I will draw the line above the pistol with stock.
Though do remember, any rifle is allowed*, regardless of nationality.
Also, noticing subalterns there will only be one officer on either side, the organisers. I realise I had not mentioned it in the kit thread (which I will now amend) but Enlisted Men’s uniforms for both sides please.
Cheers

They couldn't have been all that silly looking as demonstrated by the fact that Winston Churchill used one when fighting in the Boer War. I also have an Ithaca 37 featherlight pump action shotgun its WW2 period single shot magazine fed, would this be ok???

People renowned for the bowler hat, bow tie and cigar combination as an image should not be selected as arbiters of silliness.
However, again, I am afraid the answer is 'no' . We considered shotguns when we were putting the game together and decided to keep it as just rifles.
On German uniform requirements, Is it Luftwaffe Field Division, or is FJ acceptable?
I shall find out for 'certain' but I am pretty sure they were Field Division and not FJ.
Just LW field Division, no FJ please.
If you are concerned about pleople dressing the same in units, do not be, it is all gonna get muddled, and the numbers are very unlikely to go over 12 a side to enable such distinctions.

Is this a 12 a side maximum or is that just being cautious due to the economic situation? I am very interested in attending but it is far too early to commit, and I don`t want to block a space maybe for someone else.
at the moment we will be holding it at 12 per side.
That MAY change once we get there, but it will entirely depend upon how we feel at that time, so best to assume that 12 is the limit.
Is there a banner for our signatures? (Sorry Chommers )
Here is Craig's banner:

That should not be a problem at all, sounds good fun.
Hi Craig
I know this is still some time off and may have already been mentioned elsewhere, but any idea what time we can arrive on friday and what time we kick off on saturday?
basically, nope
I am pretty snowed under with Flying Lead preparations and will not be able to arrange our travel for this until afterwards (start of September).
All I know at the moment is that someone (ie Lipton) of us should be on site at about 4pm, though I won't be able to get down until later on.
On Saturday morning we are looking at a 9am kickoff.
All this will be 'concreted' in a couple of weeks, once FL is out of the way.
I see camping is possible on Friday night. What about Saturday night. There is another event near Cambridge on Sunday I'd like to attend but think its silly to travel 90 miles home to retrace the steps in the morning.
Happy to hotel it but if I have my tent up on Friday.....
