Yeah matt, all you need now is a parachute and you've got the pre-jump look! :) Good for pictures, a bit cumbersome for airsofting! hehe

You'd be suprised i am actually considering getting a repro chute....God knows why. But it is all im missing now.

very happy with my kit, i have worked it so it can and has been used for conventional reenactment and is flexible enough for skirmishing. there are other bits i want, but nothing i need.

Thats the crux of the ocd side, is most of it you don't actually need, you merely want  my airsoft kit is a lot laxer than my re-enactment kit, but then being female I don't wear it for both not being interchangeable ensembles ;) Mind I guess at some point I'll done the yank kit for airsofting that will be about as accurate as I get, and even then its just going to be EM kit so won't be anything on the scope of the airborne side of things.

at the crich weekend, our kit was our standard airsofting south staffs, and we looked better than a lot of the "proper" reenactors.( ducks under the pc table waiting for monitor to explode from amount of posts/pm's from reenacting forum users reading this   )

Won't hear me disagreeing, thats what I always found amusing on the re-enactor forums initially when this site set off. all the comments about kit, when they were either from the same source or in some circumstances better  horses for courses.

Mind I thought it was better when I mentioned accidentally as you do at Crich baring in mind were were mops, about your display and people not even realising you were airsofters..... point proved to me. I've said it for yonks. Che's kit he wears for re-enactment is his airsoft kit, he's even had compliments on it  and bar the odd change of collar dog/cuff title, its still the same tunic it was, when he did the Arnhem game way back when

im fairly happy with my kit started off with oak a tunic after seeing a photo of an SS guy late war wearing one - yes it was a tunic! , also quite light weight but very effective camo - but lately have gone for a more genric look.... still dont have a proper feldgrau tunic as i find it too hot for playing in - its a shirt and a smock for me.....I have a full Afrika korps / tropical kit which i bought for husky which is still unworn except for the boots ..... and i am slowly starting to put together a brit loadout..... i do need to sharpen up my SS impression though.....
I suppose im not that satisfied but then i probably never will be..... I have a kind of backstory for my kit given my age  as an 'old soak' .... but then thats just an excuse for my slightly shoddy kit level

then theres always those nice kriegsmarine leather tousers..... :)

I dont think it is a case of being or not being happy with our kit. More that there is so much more wonderful stuff to spend our cash on. lets consume.

I am happy with my kit , but I don't think I'll ever be completely satisfied , I thought I was happy with my German kit being all I needed, then a friend gave me a Denison and a Fairbairn Sykes knife ,so I bought a commando loadout, then expanded to cover most Brit variations. Then I started buying the correct pack fillers, now another game is coming up in December ,so I've bought a greatcoat .I m a bit of a perfectionist and half the fun is tracking down all the correct bits of kit .There is always going to be another gun, uniform or item of insignia I can use .
