Nothing yet but just arrived in Hong Kong. A visit to Kwong Wa St is set for tomorrow. I can see a Tanaka k98 getting sent home as a minimium.

Expect the retailers to be rude as hell and entirely unwilling to help you until you've shown em a wedge of cash first

Friend of mine visits HK regularly, and i've had to put up with numerous diatribes from him about how shite the customer service is in majority of the Airsoft shops over there

agm mp44 wand a lipo battery.
The Mp44 chronos at 383fps consistantly.
also the stock pin has the spring retainer .
Can't wait for a late war scenario to use it. so I am going to use it at a open date in a few weeks.

Let me know which site so i can avoid a 380fps aeg like the plague ;)

Zbear resides in USA who have different fps rules to us here in the UK - just in case anyone is worried about hot kit!

Is that spring stock pin as-standard with the MP44 now or is it someone's modification?

Filling in the location box in your profile can save much confusion?
I cracked under much Hong Kong airsoft pressure, a Tanaka Kar98 will be on it's way to the Uk on Wednesday. £350 inc. postage.
It's madness in that tiny few square yards of Yau Mai Tei. Airsoft heaven and hell all rolled into half a city block.
I got baggypants a few bits for his modern guns and wilted in Tokyo Model Co. my resolve was gone, the card and the AFRA details for customs were on the counter before I knew it. They even have an indoor range and let me test it.
It is a bit hit and miss finding someone who can speak English in any shop at any time, we, I was not alone, were lucky.
So, can you get spare mags? TMC had none.

Its a pity they had no mags - they would have been a bargain for sure. Firesupport here has one in stock at an eye watering £47.50 + delivery! http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product-info.php?id=558

The headline looks interesting..Can anyone translate?

Received my original M1928 Haversack from the states. Its in excellent condition, and someones even taken the liberty of writing the name of the regiment this was issued to inside the flap.

Picture is too small to read it properly. Headline reads England retreats towards (somewhere) - Egypt maybe?

Fraktur script is a bastard to read even for Germans. I'm pretty sure the last part of the word is asien - asia. Post a higher-res scan and I'll translate the whole thing if you like :D

Cool newspaper TLC on displays with it though dave, they suffer very quickly if not looked after (hence I mock repros of mine albeit in a smaller format). Thumbing, reading, and generally be put under the elements are key to your nice newspaper being paper mache very quickly ;)

Is it not worth having a3 copies of each sheet made (or a2) and reproing them rather than using originals on display.

Mainly cos

a ) you dont wreck a genueine copy
b ) you can 'whiten' them up again as it was unlikely to look 60 years old in the 40s

I use what I have available atm and I've not seen anyone else as yet on an axis display have readable replications of magazines (mostly female related in my case) costs me 50p for a pack of paper suitable for printing off on and ink. Def worth looking into though just knowing my lucky the local printers will be non willing (that said I've got mine all saved on my external hard-drive.... hmmmm

OK, so the word is kleinasien (asia minor). - England's retreat towards Asia Minor.

The subtitle is something about Syria turning the tables on the British strategy. Dunno much about the desert war.

German Soldiers of World War 2, by Jean de Lagarde - basically, a 150-odd page picture book of the best selection of uniforms I've seen. I'm assuming they are all genuine and not repros. Not a cheap book  but very good indeed.
